On Monday, February 16, 2026, with family by his side, peacefully, aged 87 years. Loved Dad and father-in-law of Tony (deceased) and Cindy, and Paul, loved Grandad and Great-Grandad of Kaysie and Graeme, Shaun and Jen, Frances, Ella, and Tolson, loved brother and brother-in-law, respected colleague, and friend to many. Our thanks to Chris and Fiona at Harmans Lawyers, and to the staff at Rosewood, and at Christchurch Hospital for their care and professionalism. According to Les' wishes, no funeral service will be held. Private cremation has taken place.

Loved son of Charles and Violet Dench, loved brother of Shirley. Father of the late Tony, and Paul. A very caring husband and friend of Marion. Loved son-in-law and brother-in-law of the Reid Family, Bernie, the late Diana, the late Janice, Elaine, Lois, and our partners. Les was a fun Uncle to his nieces and nephews. Go with love Les.
