Noel Radburnd was a true educator in the fullest sense - wise, principled, quietly courageous, and deeply committed to children, staff, and community. He led with integrity and heart, combining steady leadership with warmth, humility, and an unfailing belief in others. Known for his dry humour, resilience, and gentle authority, Noel mentored generously, supported without judgment, and made time for everyone who needed him. His influence was felt not through status or title, but through relationships: the confidence he nurtured, the kindness he modelled, and the calm, thoughtful presence he brought to everyday school life. Dedicated, loyal, practical, and profoundly human, Noel shaped Cotswold School through service, wisdom, and care - leaving a legacy measured not in years, but in lives changed. It was a privilege to work alongside Noel and to know him as a friend.

Helen and family
There are many great memories of Noel in our household. Jane greatly enjoyed working with him and his well reasoned common sense approach to teaching. Katy benefited from being in his class. Great friend and colleague and will be sadly missed by many.

Have wonderful memories of teaching at Cotswold School with Noel. He was very supportive and encouraging for me in my years at Cotswold. He taught my boys too. A genuinely lovely man.
