I would like to express my sadness on hearing (just today) that both Bob and Leita died last year. I am a Fendall cousin and Bob and Leita visited us in Hamilton in 2021. They knew my father Selwyn Fendall of Tauranga when he was alive. I spoke to Bob a few times on the phone and via Facebook. He was such a nice person and I would´ve loved to have known him better. Leita was also very nice.
We have a Fendall Family History Facebook group and I have reposted a few photos from Bob and Leita´s visit there.
My phone number is 0210507521.
Warmest wishes and sincere condolences to the family.

Mrs Fendall touched the lives of many children and parents as a wonderful school teacher at Spreydon Primary School. In particular she devoted herself to conducting the school choir and also the most amazing recorder group. She was very committed and would take the recorder group before school started and also during the lunch breaks. I remember she had a smile that could light up a room. May she rest in eternal peace.

I was fortunate enough to teach on the staff at Spreydon Primary school at the same time as Leita. She always brought such a breath of fresh air and humour into the staff room with her winning smile. I used to hope there would be a seat beside her for a chat. When I moved away and married I found that Leita´s brother was a close friend of my new husband and they all came to visit us in Queenstown. Such fun times.
A wonderful mother, teacher and friend.
Condolences to family.

Dear Leita was a wonderful teacher at Spreydon Primary Scholl when I was the 'office lady'. She was such a positive influence on the children she taught. How sad for the family, having recently lost their father Bob but we know their souls are together now in heaven, I will never forget Letia.
