Leanne McDOUGALL Obituary

Passed away peacefully on December 15, 2023, at Nurse Maude Hospice, surrounded by family, aged 59 years. Survived by her devoted husband John. Much loved mother and mother-in-law of Callum, Jessica, Liam and Caitlin, and Caleb and Savanna, and Marie, step-mother to Rhyan and Yanica, and Rhiannon and Blair. Nana-Darling to Taylah, Carter, Jayden and Rhett. Beloved sister of Jason and the late Bronwyn. Leanne is also survived by former husband Stewart, as well as beloved aunt of Courtney and Stefan, and great-aunt to Eva, Wilbie and Billy. Adored niece of Denise and John, and cousin to many. In lieu of flowers, donations to Nurse Maude Hospice who took incredible care of Leanne and her family in her final days. Messages c/- the McDougall family to 78 Brisbane Street, Waltham, Christchurch 8023. There will be a celebration of Leanne's life in the coming days.

Darling Lea:
From the moment I first held you in my arms 59 years ago until I last hugged you on 15th December 2023, I have loved you more than you could ever imagine. That love lives on forever. Thank you for being such a massive part of my world, for always being there when I needed you most, for your honesty, humour, forthright advice when I so often needed it and above all, for your endless love. You are a "big sister" to all my kids and we will all miss you so very much forever. Moe Mai darling girl.
Callum, Jess, Liam, Caleb: You are the wonderful legacy your Mum has left to carry her love into the world. You guys, your partners and children have all been beyond amazing throughout such a long, tough time. You filled your Mum's world with love and laughter until her last moments. Aroha Mai, Aroha atu.
To JB: How amazing you are!!! Though your heart was breaking, you have been a rock for Lea and everyone not only recently but always.
Stu: I will never forget the love and support you have always shown too.

Dearly loved daughter of Margaret (nee Anquetil) and Ron Gray (both deceased), and special friend of Josie (also deceased). Treasured sister of Bronwyn (deceased) and Jason. Precious niece of Denny and John and adored cousin and"big sister" to Kris, Keryn, Sara and Kim and much loved by all the extended whanau. We are heart broken to lose you Lea. You mean so very much to us all. We will love you always.
