DOUGLAS, Lawrence Alvyn (Skin) - October 15, 1927 - Died unexpectedly, but peacefully on Friday, August 8, 2014, at Christchurch Hospital. Loved husband of Catherine Sarah Douglas, loved and treasured father and father-in-law of Kathryn and Warren Watson, Beverley and Albert Brantley, Martin and Lisa Douglas, much loved granddad of Jaryd, Ryan, Sarah, Harry and Charlie, and loved brother, brother-in-law, uncle and great-uncle of many.
So sadly missed and forever in our hearts.
Special thanks to all the dedicated Doctors and Nursing staff at Christchurch Hospital ICU. Messages may be addressed to The Family of the late Lawrence Douglas, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. In lieu of flowers, donations would be greatly appreciated for Beat Bowel Cancer Trust. We will be celebrating Alvyn's life with a service in the Westpark Chapel, 467 Wairakei Road, Burnside, Tomorrow (Thursday), at 10.00am, private burial thereafter.

I'll miss him a lot and he was the greatest grand-dad ever and still is. I loved watching the races and coronation street with him. It was like a sort of traditions whenever I went to have a sleepover with him and nana. I always had tea and biscuits and sometimes curled up with him on his chair . I'll love him forever and wait until it's my turn to meet him :)
