Laura Lockhart Obituary

Laura J. Lockhart
1954 - 2026
Westfield
Laura Jean (Nardacci) Lockhart passed away on January 30, 2026 after a brave battle with cancer.
She was born in Westfield Massachusetts to Rosario J Nardacci and Dorothy R. (Baden) Nardacci. She was a lifelong resident.
In 1985 she married to Edwin E. Lockhart of Springfield. They settled in Westfield and dedicated their marriage to building a home and family. They welcomed their son in 1993 and their daughter in 1996.
Laura's generosity knew no bounds. She was skilled in the art of entertaining and made everyone who entered her house feel at home.
Laura was a tremendously talented person whose only limit was the sky. Sewing, decorating, costume-making, cake decorating, singing and dancing were some of the many activities that gave her joy.
In recent years she especially enjoyed playing Bingo, going to the casinos, treasure hunting at yard sales and gardening.
Laura's motto was, "Do what you can do now. Don't wait until tomorrow." These words and cherished memories were the gifts she left to those she loved.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years Edwin E. Lockhart, her son Matthew J. Lockhart and his wife Alexandria, her daughter Lisa Marie A. Grant and her husband Michael. Two sisters, Leanne M. Jaeger and her husband Edward and Tina M. Meyer. She also leaves behind her dog Mason and three Grand dogs, Vinnie, Kilo and Foxy.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Baystate Hospice, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Baystate Medical Center and Baystate Noble for their compassionate care and support.
Calling hours will be held from 2:00-5:00 pm with a service to follow at 5:00 pm on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at Firtion Adams, 76 Broad St. Westfield. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Laura's memory to Berkshire Children and Families or Cancer House of Hope. www.firtionadams.com
