Larry, you gave me my big break. I lied to you over the phone when you asked me if I knew anything about sport. Through blizzards, telethon and years of Susan Sells, it was all because of you. Ros and family, my sincere condolences to you. Good night.

I worked alongside Larry when CTV first went to air back in 1991. I always enjoyed his banter, his enthusiasm, and his smile. He worked tirelessly to get the job done. Sad news. Thinking of Ros and his family during this sad time.

I remember working at CTV in the early years with Larry while producing the music shows. He came in and said do you have any music that might suit a new Canterbury rugby team called the Crusaders? I said "There´s this new Vangelis video we just got in called "Conquest of Paradise " that could work." He said perfect took it to the rugby union and they loved it! Over 30 years later it´s still played at every Crusaders home game! Like this piece of music his legacy will endure. Condolences
