On January 18, 2015, suddenly, in his 89th year. Dearly loved husband of Alisoun, cherished brother of Jean, Mary, and his late brothers and sisters, and a much loved brother-in-law and uncle. Messages may be addressed to the Mitchell Family, c/- 19 London Street, Christchurch 8013. In lieu of flowers donations to St John Ambulance would be appreciated and may be made at the service. The Service for Lance will be held at the John Rhind Lounge Chapel, entry from London Street only, Richmond, on Friday, January 23, at 2.00pm.

A fantastic uncle over the years to Ian and Adrienne Burney, son and daughter of Lance's late sister Helen and brother-in-law Phil. We always remember Lance having a laugh with us in that wonderful laid-back way of his. He was just so kind and loving to me and my sis, and will be sadly missed. Kua hinga te totara o te waonui.
