On September 28, 2025, peacefully at WesleyCare. Loved husband of the late Helen, loving father and father-in-law to Ivan and Cheryl, Deborah and Nigel, Jacque and Bryan, Nigel and Claire, and Louise, much loved Grandad of Liam, Clara; Phillipa, Katherine, Hamish; Georgia, Thomas; Isaac, Jack, Meghan, Isabella; Hayley, Hannah. Great-Grandad of Cooper, Eva, Oliver, Sophia, loved son of the late Ethel and Noel, best friend, brother, and brother-in-law of Lois (deceased) and Chris Skellet, and a loved uncle to many. Messages may be addressed to: The family of the late Gary Shatford, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. A celebration of Gary's life will be held at Westpark, 467 Wairakei Road, Burnside, on Monday, October 6, at 2.00pm, followed by a private cremation.
