Indeed, Brother/Uncle Kuan Meng
is the best husband, father, father-in-law and yeh-yeh
to all of you, just as he has been the best brother and uncle to all of us.
We miss him sadly too, but he will always be cherished and fondly remembered, especially his smiles and laughter.

Im shocked to hear of Kuan's passing. I always thought of him as never growing old - and always as the age he was when he supervised my honours and PhD studies. His patience and tolerance were amazing (especially when dealing with me!). My deepish sympathy to all the family.

I was shocked to learn of Kuan's passing yesterday in an email from Phil Tonkin. I will tell the University of Illinois also. I think Kuan was Dr. Frank Stevenson PhD student.

I'm sorry I'll be out of town on Thursday to attend the service. He was a man who contributed so much to the Canterbury Chinese association. He will be missed by many.
