Kerry MCCARTHY Obituary

McCARTHY, Kerry Bridgett:
On January 11, 2021, at Christchurch Hospital after a long journey with cancer. Deeply loved partner of Roy. Loving mother of Maeve and Otto. Other mother and friend to Jack Montgomery. Much loved sister of Anne Doidge and Michael McCarthy. Loved sister-in-law of Ken Doidge and Melissa He. Treasured aunt of Bridhe, Sian, Ciaran, Maya and Max and auntie-at-large to Heidi and Eila. Great friend to Michael Billington and to her stiefmutty in Germany Christel Montgomery. The world is not fair but people are kind. Thanks to the staff at Christchurch Hospital over several years, especially those on Wards 15, 16 and 17, the staff of Nurse Maude, the team in the Intensive Care Unit and to the staff at St. Georges Cancer Care Centre. Special thanks to Drs Kim Glass, Grant Coulter, Steven Ding, Jim Edwards and James Falvey for working to keep Kerry here beyond the odds.
