Doloras Kearns Obituary

Doloras M. "Dee" Kearns, 98, of Peoria, passed away Monday, September 1, 2025, at Buehler Home in Peoria.
She was born on October 19, 1926, in Peoria, to William and Mary (Trapp) Hurst. Doloras married Thomas Kearns on May 27, 1950, in Peoria. He preceded her in death on February 8, 2017. Doloras was also preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Surviving are her children, Tim (Lynne) Kearns, Gayle (Mike) Freeman and Peggy (Jeff) Tate; and grandchildren, Tom (Mindy) Kearns, Regan (Jeff) Carlo, Justin (Sara) Freeman, Blake Freeman and Travis Freeman.
Doloras graduated in 1944 from Manual High School in Peoria. She worked for Travelers Insurance after graduation. Once she and Tom had children, Doloras decided caring for and loving her children was the most important.
She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 6. 2025, with Fr. Achilleus Tegamaisho officiating. Entombment will be at Resurrection Mausoleum in Peoria.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Morton or the donor's favorite charity.
