Kenneth LASSEN Obituary

LASSEN, Kenneth Herbert (Ken) - On July 14, 2014, peacefully at St Allisa Rest Home, aged 87 years. Dearly loved and treasured husband of the late Jean. Loved father and father-in-law of Gary and Hiroko, David, and Murray and Julie. Loved "Garbie" of Andrew, and Mathew; Mitchell, Connor, and Johnathan; and Ben. Messages to the Lassen family, c/- PO Box 111-01, Christchurch 8443. The family would acknowledge the love and care shown to Ken by the staff and carers of St Allisa's. At Ken's request, a private funeral has been held.

I remember when i was a little girl Uncle Ken would read me stories when my nana and grandad Bird took me to see Aunty Jean and Uncle Ken. We would always talk about his dimple in his chin where they pricked him to see if he was ready to be born. I am sorry for your loss boys and your families.

I remember Ken as a very dedicated father and supporter as I coached his son for the Albion Football club. He was an absolute asset to have around the club. My condolences to all his family and may he RIP.
