Kenneth GRANT Obituary

I was so sorry to hear about Kenny. He was such a vibrant, happy, lovely guy and I am so glad that I got to know him all those years ago at Uni. Here are a couple of photos I found. Sending you lots of love, Kari

Pam and Phoebe,
We were both so sorry to hear of Kenny´s passing. The funeral mass was beautiful today. He was a good friend in Dunedin and in Ireland. Kenny was such a fantastic mix of ability and character- a character which never failed to surprise. At work he took his responsibilities seriously but then I remember so clearly the day we jumped out of a plane together over Lake Wanaka. He had such a love of life and when we all landed safely he was so energised he bounced around the rest of the day like Tigger. We had some really great times during those years at Dunedin hospital.

I miss him just knowing he is not around so I can´t imagine what you must be working through. We send our love and prayers.

Our deepest sympathies, sending love and prayers to you all, Kenneth was a lovely, warm and kind person and a great colleague at CDHB.

We had such fun at Hayward Hall, as George St flatmates and sharing Adelaide tea so many light years ago. I am so grateful Kenny stumbled and sprinkled laughter in my life.

It was a privilege to have had those memories of you.

Dear Pam, Phoebe and all of Kenneth´s family, I was so shocked and saddened to hear of Kenneth´s passing and I want to offer my deepest sympathy to you all.

I had the pleasure of working with Kenneth in the pharmacy department in Tallaght hospital Dublin. We all had such a laugh there. He had a great sense of humour and always had a smile on his face. You will be so missed.

Kenneth, a gentle star, an early end to a wonderful life. Kenneth´s professional contributions, where I knew him, were substantial and long lasting. The team at CDHB has many fond memories of Kenneth that live on. We miss you. Our thoughts are with Pam and Phoebe.

Dear Pam, Phoebe and all of Kenny´s family, I was so shocked and saddened to hear of Kenny´s passing and I want to offer my heartfelt condolences to you all.
I had the pleasure of working with Kenny in the Aseptic unit in Tallaght hospital Dublin. We all had such a laugh there. He had a great sense of humour and gave as good as he got! If he was on a roll on a particular day with his humour I´d ask him to remind me what part of Australia he was from! Well as you can imagine that induced a big intake of breathe on his part followed by a comical berating of me. He´d have me in stitches laughing.
We´d always exchange birthday and Christmas greetings over the years and he´d always throw in some bit of Irish, which occasionally led me having to search Google translate! I´ll miss that.
Kenny, thank you so much for the laughs. You were both a gentleman and a comedian to work with and I thank you for that.

I am very sadden to hear that Kenny has passed away. Kenny was a kind and caring friend, who always brought a smile to everyone's face. Dear Pamela and Phoebe, I am so sorry to hear of Kenneth´s passing. I worked with him in Tallaght University Hospital (Dublin). He was hard working and a valued member of the team. We learned a lot from him and how things were done in New Zealand. He was always smiling and very witty and have lovely memories of his time with us. My thoughts are with you and rest of the family at this very sad time.

It was indeed sad to learn of Kenny's passing. A good friend in Pharmacy school in Otago and used to hang out a lot....a lil bit of study ....but a whole lot of fun with the gang... we had good times...Kenny was a great friend. Always gentle in spirit and caring but also has his sense of humour. He is with the Father in heaven where there is no more pain and suffering ....we will meet once again....when we see each other in the Father's arms... Deepest condolences to Pam & Phoebe. May the Lord's peace & strength be with you two during this time of bereavement.

We are so very sad for the loss of Kenneth, and we will mourn the time we should have had to enjoy his friendship, humour, and unshakable faith.
His struggle is over and he now resides in Heaven in the place the Lord set aside for him. We will see him again.

Pamela, Phoebe and all of Kenneth´s family - my deepest condolences and sympathy on your loss of Kenneth. I had the absolute pleasure to work with Kenneth - or Kenny G as I called him during his time working in the aseptic unit in the pharmacy department in Tallaght University Hospital, Dublin, Ireland. Kenneth was full of fun - we taught him Irish and he showed us the Haka. He probably spoke Irish better then most of us! A truly lovely guy and he will be remembered by everyone he worked with here in Ireland. I am thinking of you all over this sad and difficult time.
