Passed away on March 11, 2026, wrapped in love and the wonderful care of the Christchurch Hospice team, her Mum and Dad, and her family. At 40, Kendall was a beautiful soul, vivacious, joyful, and radiating the kindest heart. She brought light to every space she entered and warmth to every life she touched. She was the deeply cherished daughter of Sue Maxwell and Steve Hurley, and the most beautiful Sis to her big bro Shannon Beattie and little sis Libby Rapana-Taylor. Kendall adored her family fiercely, and she was the bestest Aunty to Alexis Grandi, Lockie O'Malley, Baylei-Rose Beattie, and little Hudson Calder, the ones who made her eyes sparkle and her smile grow the widest. Kendall shared a special bond with her carers, Ariana Grandi, Rebecca Butt, and Gemma Brown, beautiful women who are part of our extended family, offering love, humour, and companionship that meant the world. She was the cutest cousin to many, especially Simon and Steph Hedley, Brisbane and Hayden Withers, and a beautiful niece to all her aunties and uncles and friend to all who knew her. Kendall is lovingly remembered by her late grandparents: Stanley and Joy Beattie, Dick and Evelyn Maxwell, and Bruce and Anne Hurley. Big thank you to Dr Elizabeth Schroder. The family extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who travelled to be with Kendall in her final days. A private cremation has taken place, and a celebration of Kendall's wonderful life will be shared at a later date.
