Deepest sympathy Lauren, Chris and family,
In the late 70s -80s I was one of many netballers Kay helped to learn winning ways and succeed at Sacred Heart and Canterbury. Her direct, no nonsense approach was delivered with happiness.
Kay's aspirations for us didn't stop at netball. While stirring pots of Chilli Con Carne at her family home on Saturday nights, or at the wet windswept Hagley Courts she always found challenges for us. I recall when Kay advised me that we could extend our coaching of the many young girls at the likes of Villa Maria and Lincoln High School by umpiring on Saturday mornings.
Her words "you must give back" resound to this day.

Deepest Sympathy on the death of Kay
I have great memories of childhood days spent either at Martin Road or Gleniti.
They were happy family times with the O´Donnells, Minehan and Mulcahy families.
There were tough times but Aunty Eileen worked so hard and definitely passed onto her Family a great work ethic.
Kay certainly helped many people through sport. And her caring nature.
Kay is now at Peace.
Thanks to her caring family.
Sorry we can´t attend the Funeral.
Thinking of you all.
Brian and Margaret Cosgrove. (née Mulcahy)

Fondest memories of Kay .My name for Kay was "MRS HEARTS" her heart beat was for the netball club. She breathed , ate and slept it.
Kay guided me and taught me plenty along the way helping me with the Year 7 & 8 girls from St Joseph´s School PAPANUI, who were fortunate to play under the Hearts Banner in the Saturday competition
Her love for the sport was amazzzzzing and she herself was a amazzzzzing lady
One in a million
Thanks Kay
Never to be forgotten
You and Laurie will have lots of sports chat to catch up with
R.I.P KAY
GO WELL
