O'CONNOR, Kathleen (Kath)
(nee Moriarty):

On Thursday, January 13, 2022, suddenly at Westport. Aged 88 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Eamon, loved mother of Bernard (Melbourne), Christine (Ireland), Barbara (Auckland), Gregory (Wellington), Philip and Jackie (Waimangaroa), Stephen and Janette (Melbourne), Jack and Lynnette (Greymouth), Anne and Brian Vass (Wellington), and Rosemarie (Waimangaroa), beloved friend of Theresa, Pieter, and Robert, much treasured Grandmother of 19, Great-Grandmother of 13, loved sister and sister in law to Pat and Keith Davies, and the late Jimmy Moriarty, Mary and Colin Dyer, Ellen and Bryan Carver, a loved aunt to her numerous nieces and nephews, and a treasured sister in law and a devoted friend to many. Messages to 120 Orowaiti Road, Westport 7825. A Requiem Mass for Kath will be Celebrated at St Canice's Catholic Church, Brougham St, Westport, on Tuesday, January 18, at 11.00am, followed by interment at the Orowaiti Cemetery. Vaccine Pass required. Garden Flowers preferred for the grave. At Kath's request donations to St Vincent de Paul can be made at the church or online.

Sad to hear, the Byrne and O'Connor families were close,helping each other on the respective farms and gossiping for an hour after mass. Bill and Molly were good friends with Kath and Eamon for many years, both moving on the farms in early 1950s. Happy memories
