Jenny and David Hercock

Dear Joan
David and I are so very sad to hear of Bruce's passing. We are so sorry we didn't know until yesterday or, of course, we would have come to his funeral.
I feel really sad that society has developed in the way it has and unless you make the effort to keep up with everyone you miss some of these very important occurrences. It seems as though once we were a caring village and now those days have gone. There is so much distance and division.
We send you our sincere condolences on your loss of a very special man. May wonderful memories sustain you and may your loved ones support you in your grief.
Once again, I am so sorry we didn't know. We have had some enjoyable times together and we both admired you and Bruce, remembering your battle with breast cancer and your fighting that with vigour tenacity.
Love, Jenny and David Hercock xx
