Kathleen HEGAN Obituary

Passed away peacefully on May 18, 2024, surrounded by her family, aged 77 years. Loved and cherished mother and mother-in-law of Richard and Louise, Craig and Andrea, Jane and Mark, loved Nan of Charlie, Harry, and George; Alexandra, and Will; Tom, Millie, and Rosa, beloved wife of the late Mel Hegan, loved sister of Jude, the late Mervyn and Margaret, and loved by all her nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the team at Ryman Healthcare for their care of Kate. Messages may be addressed to: The family of the late Kate Hegan, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. In lieu of flowers, donations to Dementia Canterbury would be appreciated, and may be made online at dementiacanterbury.org.nz. A service to celebrate Kate's life will be held in our Westpark Chapel, 467 Wairakei Road, Burnside, on Friday May 24, at 2.00pm. We have many fond memories of Kate beginning at Hawarden High School for me then later on at Perry Street and camping days at Waikuku and Spencer Park. Our thoughts are with all the families at this sad time
