Junella "June" Ann (Hoksbergen) Crake of Jenison, Michigan, passed away on August 19, 2025, and is now with her Lord. June was 90 years old and is survived by her two daughters, Liane (Dan) Williams, Lynne (Todd) Rosema; grandchildren, Andrew (Samantha) Rosema, Dale (Jennifer) Williams, Alex Rosema (Natalie Polston), Rachel Williams (fiancé, Geraldo Gjika), Lisa (Connor) Bassage and June's first great-grandchild due in September, and Nathan Williams. She is also survived by her nephews, Kenneth (June) Hoksbergen, Carroll (Kathy) Hoksbergen, and Dean (Konnie) Hoksbergen. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Russell Larry Crake; parents, Tunis and Jennie Hoksbergen; brother, Albert (Junella) Hoksbergen; sister, Kathryn (Gerald) Kelderman; and nieces, Gloria Hoksbergen Eveland and Gail Hoksbergen VanWeelden. June was born in Tracy, Iowa, in 1934 and moved to Grand Rapids to attend and graduate from Calvin College. While she loved her many years in West Michigan, she always considered Iowa home. June's passion was serving the Lord by volunteering with Bible clubs, W.A.R. and through her church. First and foremost, she loved being an auntie, wife, mom, and grandma. She loved the Lord with all her heart and was so faithful to Him as He was always faithful to her. Her hobbies included baking, reading, sewing, gardening, and walks. She was social and loved visiting, encouraging, and helping others. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 27, at Grace Bible Church, 3715 Wilson Ave. SW, Grandville, MI, 49418, with Pastor Bill Bennett and Pastor Todd Kinde officiating. Please join the family for a luncheon following the service. The burial will take place at Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, August 26, from 6-8 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. An additional visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the service.
