June SHAW Obituary

SHAW, June Margaret:
Passed away peacefully on August 7, 2016, at the Nurse Maude Hospice, in her 74th year, after many years of fighting hard. Much loved wife, mother, sister and sister in-law, Granny Bear and aunt of Ian, Anne, Pete and Sam, Harper and Fergus, Jock and Hilary, Fiona and Scott, the late Kate and Bill, Barbara and Phil, Penny and Pete, Tim, Katherine and Andy, Amy, Jonathan and Ross, and great-aunt to her many great-nieces and nephews. Much loved by all her many family and friends, particularly her many nursing friends. The family wants to acknowledge the wonderful care June received over the years from Christchurch Hospital, in particular the Nephrology Dept, her GP Clare Botha-Reid, the staff at Christchurch South and Nurse Maude for her care in her last week at the Hospice. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to the Christchurch Kidney Society which she served tirelessly for many years, and these may be made at the service. A celebration of June's life will be held at the Cashmere Hills Presbyterian Church on Dyers Pass Road, This Day (Wednesday), at 11.00am.
