My first legal employer in Chch (while still a student) and years later encouraged me to strike out on my own account. Wonderful person who taught me a lot about the law, humanity and empathy. Not to mention Chinese cooking.

A wonderful woman to work for with an enjoyable dry sense of humour, and an enthusiastic bibliophile! I was her PA at Wellington District Court for several years until her retirement.

So sad to hear of Junes death. We were both on the McKenzie Education Foundation. June and I were involved in setting up the the Roy McKenzie Foundation. We, more recently met to oversea the sale of the McKenzie home in Christchurch. To do this we met over lunch in each others homes. I always enjoyed working with June. Nick I am so sorry to hear of your Mum´s death. Hugs to you. Diana Crossan

Farewell June. We had a lot of laughs together when we met over the years. May the memories of your dishes of chicken feet bring a smile to all who were treated to them.
