Julie MURPHY Obituary

Passed away peacefully at home, after a short illness, surrounded by her loving family, on April 6, 2024, aged 76 years. Loving wife and friend of David, cherished mum of Michael, and Clare, mother-in-law of Anna, and Steve, loved step-mum of Andrew, Robert, Sarah, and their partners. A fun and loving Granny to her 11 grandchildren. Treasured sister and sister-and sister-law of Bryan and Jo-Anne Hale, and wonderful Aunt of Matthew, and Belinda, and their partners and children. Heartfelt thanks to Nurse Maude for their care of Jul. Messages may be addressed to: The family of the late Julie Anne Murphy, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. So sorry to have just found out about Julie Ann's passing. I have very fond memories of our working days at the Post Office, Cathedral Square in our teens & then reconnecting again at University of Canterbury in Geology and College of Science, especially office parties!! Deepest sympathy to David, Michael & Clare - she will be a greatly missed member of your family.

Julianne and I worked together over 50 years ago at solicitors office in Wellington where we shared a room there. We became great friends and remained so even though we lived far apart later. She was a beautiful person in every way and I feel so blessed to have known her. My sincere condolences to all her family. May Jul rest in eternal peace. Love you always my darling friend.
