A brilliant man and friend who will be remembered as a dedicated enthusiast of education and information to all who were fortunate enough to have met him.
His enthusiasm for a wide variety of interests are irreplaceable.
He will be sorely missed.

I´ve known Julian as an owner of a neighbouring flat where I live. I alway appreciated his willingness to say hello and help around the place, especially when Drahomira was unwell and he had so much to do. When he himself became unwell he showed amazing resilience and positivity. My condolences to Julian´s family, John B

Julian was a deeply committed scientist and educator. He was creative and imaginative, always looking for new and innovative ways to present his science. He thought deeply about science and about his teaching. In my eleven years as a teacher, I rarely encountered anyone as relentlessly focused on exploring how to deliver material in ways that would be effective.

He was a loyal and supportive colleague for my 11 years at Xavier. Later, he taught my sons at St Bede´s and they too appreciated his strengths and his commitment, as well as his management of the St Bede´s squash team.

We are all the poorer for his loss.
