Judith WASON Obituary

On Tuesday, August 5, 2025, peacefully, at Christchurch Hospital, aged 89 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Lester, loved Mum and mother-in-law of Wendy and David, Marise and Leanne, Robyn and Pete, loved Ganny of Jonathon and Hannah, Simon and Emma, Tim and Mikaila, Matt and Erica, Lucy and Matt, Ted, Odette, Rosie, Olive, and Archer, loved sister of Dawn, and friend to many. Messages may be addressed to: The family of the late Judith Wason, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. In lieu of flowers, donations to St John would be appreciated, and may be made online at stjohn.org.nz. The funeral service in celebration of Judith's life will be held at Westpark, 467 Wairakei Road, Burnside, on Friday, August 15, at 10.00am.

I am saddened to read of the passing of Judith, such a beautiful and gracious lady.

My late parents, Neil and Beulah Cairns, enjoyed immensely the company of Judith and Lester, and I often tagged along to the many social occasions they shared together in and around the Dunsandel community - particularly the infamous annual 'Tree Measuring Day'. 'Mrs Wason' always took the time to talk to me and catch up on life, with so much warmth and her beautiful big smile.

I have so many fond memories, and I am thinking of you all at this sad time.
