Thanks Judith for the memories I have of staying at your place with Kaye and the whole family who always made me welcome. Loved getting out on the farm and then having a sing a long after tea that everyone had pitched in to prepare(including me), You and Fred were the best example of what parents should be. Thanks again for letting me be part of it. Rest easy now. Love from Debbie Holland (Hood)

Too many wonderful memories of Aunty Ju to summarise. She was a very special woman who was motivated by kindness, fairness, generosity, love for the importance of the moment by always making time for others before herself. After a lifetime of doing all of that & more you now deserve to rest in peace with Fu & Greg, I’m sure Farmer (Dad) will be there to welcome you too. Rest in eternal peace dear Aunty Ju and many many thanks for being you. Lots of love Karen xxx

Aunty Ju you are such a special lady. Loved growing up with you & Fu and the clan. So many amazing memories especially on Christmas Day. Great memory of me and Annie pulling an all nighter with you & Fu. Laughed all night. Sorry I can´t be with you today, but will be watching. I know you´ll have a beautiful celebration of Aunty Ju´s life. Fu, Ju & Greg all back together now to make their special music. Love you all

Sending much love to the Sutherland whanau.
Imagine the welcome she has got from Fred now they are reunited. Heaven will be rocking!
My childhood memories bring both smiles and annoyance!! Whenever mum and Ju got together their idea of an hour was all lies! Man they could talk.
We have lost a treasure but aww what a life she led.
Thank you for sharing her.
Sorry not to be there in person, I know you´ll give her a lovely send off that she´ll be annoyed she´s missing out on.
Much love Maria Kelly (conaghan )

Ju,
Thank you for the many years of family friendship and of course the music! My memories will always be of music in your lounge until the sun came up. I was in awe of your talent and went on to play many duets with Lachlan on the piano which was always a laugh! My other strong memory is of you playing the piano while Fred and Ross danced around chasing little butterflies singing "we run them in" to the Bold Gendarmes. You will always be fondly remembered.

Saddened to see Ju's death. She (and Fred) were so good to my Mum Phyl (Ju's aunt) when she stayed with them and family on the farm. Like her mum Queenie, she was such a wonderful musician. When I was a high school student she loaned me a piano accordion with an amazingly loud and satisfying sound. She brought great laughter and joy playing at family reunions. Rest in peace. Mrs Sutherland was so very kind to me and we had lots of fun at music, which sometimes turned into driving lessons . Good memories. Sorry for your loss.

My condolences to the family with the loss of Judith.
I have many fond memories when we worked together in the Hospital office at the old Gore Hospital, also many fun times at functions that Jude and Fred took part in.
They were an asset to the Arthurton and Pukerau communities.
RIP Jude, now at peace with Fred and Greg.

Was so very saddened to hear of Judith´s death. I have a heap of wonderful memories of Judith. We spent many an hour on the Gore golf course chatting so much sometimes we would wander right past our balls. Also enjoyed many Hokanui Lions Club activities with Judith. So pleased I was able to catch up with her in Gore in 2023 when we´re were down from New Plymouth we´re we live now. She was still teaching music then as we had to wait till her pupil was finished to catch up. Would love to have watched the livestream but am currently overseas.
Sending love and blessings to all the family. She was a standout lady who had a great faith and love for her church.
