I am truly saddened to hear of the passing of Jude / Ms Hammond. A truly remarkable lady, who made an enormous positive impact on my schooling and to whom I owe a great deal of thanks to, for helping and supporting me during my younger years. I often think of her when I reminisce on my school days. I know she will be missed by all who were lucky enough to meet her, such a kind, caring and fun loving lady. May she rest in peace
Addit :I shall never forget the day at MGC, when she presented 14 year old me , a list of swear words not to use in class , whilst trying her hardest not to laugh. She will be fondly remembered.

We send our heartfelt sympathies to Jude's family,
from many friends here in Otaki. We remember her good works at the College and many fun times afterwards. The "Hey Jude" karaoke song , the long walks round Rangiuru Rd and many Hurricane v Crusader challenges over a few wines and fun times.
We met up a few times on our trips south and it was always good to catch up.
We admired her courage to battle on with her cancers and make the most of every day.

Deepest condolences to all Jude´s family. Julie and I really had some wonderful times with Jude over many years, traveling to Wine and Food festivals around the country, going to concerts, site seeing in London and more recently Akaroa and going on the trans Alpine. We have sampled many wines, had lots of laughs, played numerous hands of 500, and just had a bloody good time when we were together. I will really miss Jude and her cheery "Hi Hun". Rest In Peace my dear friend and Cheers.

My heartfelt thoughts are with all of Judes family.
My memories of Jude go back as far as Throwers Jewellers when I worked for her lovely Mum and Dad and always kept in touch for decades but sadly have lost touch recently. Would love to rekindle contact if possible

So sorry to hear of Judes passing. I was a greenhorn DP when we worked together at Otaki College, she taught me lots - mainly about computers at which she was a wizz. Always good for a laugh and a friendly smile even on the bad days. Jude you will be missed by those that knew you well, all those you worked with and those students whose life you touched. RIP my friend and thank you for being you.
