Dear Ann - farewell. I so admired you - and the wonderful work you did with the MacDougall Art Gallery. Our outings were always enjoyable. Thank you for what you gave your friends - and the Christchurch art scene.

I was very fortunate to assist Ann running the art college. She showed a real joy and love of art and that could be seen in her commitment to the pupils in her classes young and old. I was able to do the research for Ann regarding the artists she shared with her pupils. I enjoyed the time we spent together working and socialising. Rest in peace Ann and thank you for opening up a new world for me.

Dear Ann,
You were a good friend to me and an interesting person to talk to. I regret that I cannot attend your funeral because of family responsibilities in Canberra at present.

I deeply regret not keeping better contact with you Ann; I really enjoyed the few times I managed to get down and see you. You were a good wise friend and will always have my love and admiration.

Ann, For many years (until my move to Mangawhai Heads) we had such lovely times to-gether, many a yarn and many discussions regarding art and art education. And of course the challenges of bringing up young children. Despite your difficulties you were always so positive and encouraging. I will fondly remember you.
