BAKER, Judith Beatrice
(nee Hetherington):
Peacefully at Bainswood Hospital, Rangiora, on Saturday, May 20, 2023, aged 92 years. Loved daughter of the late Kenneth Samuel and Muriel Clarice Hetherington. Loved wife of the late Robert Hamilton Wilson, and the late Charles H.M. Baker; and loved sister of Michael and Gillian Hetherington. Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Suzanne (deceased) and Ian (Whit) Whitehouse, Robyn, Siaki Pone, the late Michael, Nicki and John (Wal) Ford. Step-mother to Greg Baker and Felicity Lambie. A loving nana of Samuel, Michael and Rachel, Chris and Samantha, Joanna and Sam; and a special great-nana to Violet, Meredith, Eleanor, Hunter, and Liam. A private family cremation has been held. A memorial service to celebrate Judith's life will be held at St James Anglican Church, 1750 Cust Road, Cust, on Tuesday, May 30, at 11.00am.

Judith worked with my Father Ray Elliott at Caxton Press. He always spoke very highly of her. I recall visiting her as a kid. The last time I spoke with Judith at a mutual friends funeral she was so lovely, she remembered me and my parents after all these years. RIP Judith.

Rest in Peace Judith. I have many great and pleasant memories of you as a work colleague at The Caxton Press from 1966 until your retirement. To your surviving family my heartfelt sympathy. Judith was a remarkable lady and it was a privilege to have known her.
