IGGO, Joyce Violet:
On Friday, August 19, 2016, in her 94th year. Much loved wife of David for 72 happy years. Loved mother and mother-in-law of Jill and Tony, and Sue and Gary. Cherished grandmother of Sharon, Jodene, Ryan, and Paula. Adored great-grandmother of Noah, Amy, Holly, and Leo. Messages c/- PO Box 10345, Christchurch 8145. Sincere thanks to Sandra, Anna and the staff at Somerfield for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations to Alzheimers Canterbury and Nurse Maude would be appreciated. A celebration of Joyce's life will be held in the Ferry Park Chapel, at 297 Ferry Road, on Wednesday, August 24, at 10.00am. Private cremation thereafter.

Dear Sue and Jill,

I was saddened to learn that your mum had passed away. Please accept my sincere condolences. Unfortunately I will not be able to make the funeral on Wednesday, as my wife and I are on holiday in Australia. I did spend some quality time with Dave, when Terry was down earlier in the year, and it that stage Joyce was in care.

I have often reflected on wonderful holidays at Little Ak in the 50s and 60s - lot of fun and great memories.

Terry will be down again in a few weeks and we plan to catch up with Dave again at that time.
