Passed away surrounded by his family on May 14, 2025 at the age of 89.
Predeceased by his parents, Charles & Louise LaLoggia; sisters, Theresa (Joe) Reitano, Stella (Angelo) D'Angelo & Josephine (Sam) Prato.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Pearl LaLoggia; sons, Michael (Lisa) LaLoggia & Christopher (Brenda) LaLoggia; grandchildren, Justin, AJ & Madison; brother-in-law, Florian Komorowski; former sister-in-law, Barbara Komorowski; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He dedicated 21 years to serving with the Rochester Police Department, where his commitment to community safety and justice was unwavering.In addition to his law enforcement career, Joseph honorably served in the military as a Marine during the Korean War, followed by service in the Air Force. He was a proud member of the American Legion, Post 134, reflecting his continued dedication to his country and fellow veterans. Joseph LaLoggia’s life was marked by service and dedication. He will be remembered for his dedication to his family & contributions to his community & his country.
Family will receive friends Tuesday, May 27, 2025, 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm, at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at 10:00 am, St. John's the Evangelist, 2400 W Ridge Rd, Rochester, NY 14626.
Interment immediately to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, where his military honors will be rendered.
