Jonathan, my dear friend from high school. I could swear we were planning our next prank only yesterday! Life is too short, and now there´s one less place in Heaven.

I am deeply saddened to hear that Jon has passed away. Far too soon. I worked with Jon, our chairs back to back, for five years in Sydney. We laughed a lot, cringed a lot and shook our heads a lot too - every single day. It was great. While we had drifted apart in recent years, I´m grateful for having had the moment in time that I did with Jon. My sincerest condolences to his family.

My memories of Jonathan date back to his early childhood and my university days living next door to the Underhills at The Deanery in Christchurch. He was the dearest and most exceptional little boy, much younger than his siblings and advanced for his age as a result. I remember our lovely conversations and the little squashed bouquet of flowers he left on my windowsill one day when I was out. I moved north after university but never forgot him. I used to see his bylines in the paper and hoped that life and journalism were treating him well so it's sad to hear that he has passed so young. Condolences to his family.

Jonathan, I did appreciate your advice and help with my communications at ACC which always came with humour, and fun. Also, our coffees at Word of Mouth in Molesworth Street where we discussed life experiences. Thank you, Jonathan, for being you.

So sorry to hear that Jonathan has died. He was a contemporary of my brother Steve Graham in the Cathedral choir. May he rest in peace. Love and prayers to his family especially Bridget who I was at St Margaret's with.
