WILDER, John Welles, Jr:
On April 18, 2021 peacefully at Christchurch Hospital, aged 85 years. Dearly loved husband of 62 years to Eleanor Dawn; loved and respected father of John Welles III (deceased), Catharine (Kirby) Cooper, and David (Marcia) Wilder. Cherished grandfather of Christine, John Welles ("J.W.") IV, Jordan, Addison, Sarah, Rachel, Daniel, Grace, Lily, Mary, and Andrew. Much loved brother of Frank (Margaret), Bill (Judy), and Bert (deceased) (Parks), as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and colleagues. Special thank you to Rob and Heather Perdue, Rob and Jane Linguard, Warwick and Natalie Perdue, and Bruce and Ingrid Duncan for their love and support (and meals) over the years. An extra special thank you to Jacqui Boylen and the staff of Radius Hawthorne for their wonderful care of Welles in his final months. You are all angels. The funeral service will be held at Hope Presbyterian, 27 Amyes Road, Hornby, Christchurch, on Thursday, April 29, 2021, at 1.30pm.
