On September 12, 2024, peacefully at Christchurch Hospital surrounded by his loving family, aged 78 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Glennis, much loved father and father-in-law of Campbell and Joanne, Joanna and Craig, and Helen and Gary (Cairns), loved Grandy of Albie; Vanessa, Matt, Dylan, Cameron, and Corey. In lieu of flowers donations can be made online to kidscan.org.nz in recognition of John's work for the care and protection of children. Messages for the Watson family, C/- 19 London Street, Christchurch 8013. The Funeral Service for John will be held in the John Rhind Chapel, entry from London or Whitmore Streets, Christchurch, on Monday, September 16 at 1.00pm.

So sorry to hear about John. We go back for over 60 years and over those years have mostly kept in touch from time to time.the last earlier this year when we called on him at the Archer retirement home. So it was a bit of a shock to ring for Xmas and get a disconnected phone message and then discover his obituary. Rest in peace with Glennis John.
