John WARD Obituary

On Tuesday, April 30 John peacefully went to be with his Lord and Saviour, aged 88 years. Treasured husband of Eileen for 65 years, loved and cherished father and father-in-law of Karen and David and Nell, Colleen and Alan, Simon and Susan, and David and Rebecca, loved grandfather of Rosemary, Kathryn, Michelle, Jessica, Hannah, Andrew, Ashleigh, Chantal, Evie, Ruthie, Susanna, Levi and Abigael, and his great-grandchildren. Special thanks to family and also the staff at Elmswood Hospital for the love and care shown during these latter days. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to M.A.F. (Missionary Aviation Fellowship) an organisation that John has faithfully supported for many years. Gifts may be made at the funeral. Messages may be addressed to the family of the late John Ward, c/-Hope Funerals Christchurch, 27 Amyes Road, Hornby, Christchurch 8042. A Funeral Service will be held at St Margaret's Presbyterian Church at 94 Farrington Street, Bishopdale on Tuesday, 7 May 2024, at 11:00m, followed by a private burial.
