(Former Teacher and Housemaster at Christ's College)
Suddenly, at Nurse Maude Care Home, on Friday, March 21, 2025, aged 78. Much loved father of Kate and William. Adored grandfather of Louie, Arlo, Poppy, Olive, Amelia, and Pippa. Beloved brother and brother-in-law of Rob and Jantje (deceased), Jan and Donald, the late Rosemary and Richard, and Elizabeth (Tig) and George. Loving partner of Wendy Nicholl (deceased).
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Nurse Maude for their exceptional care of John. A celebration of John's life will be held in the Christ's College Chapel, Rolleston Avenue, on Thursday, March 27, at 3.00pm. Private cremation thereafter.

hi i looked after john for many years as a nurse maude carer he was always so happy . i was the one that did cpr on wendy and i will never forget bringing her vack while john was calling the ambulance . much love and sympathy to you all
