John Brian RUSHTON

John RUSHTON Obituary

Passed away suddenly on Thursday, January 8, 2026, aged 74 years. Dearly loved husband and best friend of Susan. Loved son of Brian and Eileen Rushton (both deceased). Loved father and father-in-law of Sam and Kylie, Beth and Gary, Danny, Sophie, Michael and Megan. Grandad to Ethan, Blake, Archie, Chelsea, Max, Millie, Heidi and William. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Mary and Ian, Barbara (deceased) and Doug, Peter, Michael (deceased), Alan and Yvonne, Phil and Joanne. John will be missed by many. A service for John will be held in the Feilding Funeral Chapel, on Friday, 16th January, at 10.30am, followed by a private cremation.

A true gentleman and fantastic supporter of, and contributor to, the Manawatu Classic Motorcycle club. It was through John´s efforts and organisational skills that the club was able to donate significant funds to worthy causes such as the Hospice and Rescue Helicopter. John´s services to the club were recognised by making him a life member in 2024. He will be greatly missed by all.
