John REID Obituary

REID, John Gordon:

Passed away on July 11, 2022 at Christchurch Hospital, aged 82, after a long and courageous battle. Loved husband of Clare, father and father-in-law of Steph, Holly, Susan and Phil, and grand- father to Riley, Finn, Eddie, Luka and Flynn, brother to Shirley, Lorraine and Joan (deceased). A private farewell and cremation has been held, in keeping with Gordon's wishes. Messages to family at 11 The Rocks, Christchurch 8025.

Hello Clare and family.
My apologies for contacting you at this very late stage and my apologies also, if your Gordon was not the one with whom I was involved.
I attended Waitaki Boys High School from 1953 to 1957 and had three close friends, one of whom was a Gordon Reid whose family had a farm near Totara in North Otago.
Gordon contacted me much later as the owner of S.I. Veterinary Services.
In 2013 I was involved with organising a class reunion but Gordon indicated he was not interested. My subsequent emails to him failed so sadly, I lost contact. Only now, have I found this obituary, thus this message, and offer my late condolences.
