Our memories are of John and family in Mossburn, John was a hard worker away from home for much of the day, he also worked hard on enjoying in his own fashion down time, and he loved a conversation and exchange of ideas, we will miss his dropping in visits as and when he was in the area. Sympathy to all Jo and Lindsay Muir

I´m sorry to hear of John´s passing. Many Saturday mornings used to be spent at Jock´s - the two of them giving each other a hard time and having a laugh over the crossword, along with Robyn and David. Good memories. My condolences to his family and friends.

Sincere condolences to the Newcombe family on the passing of John. I worked with John for a few years while he worked at NZAS, he was a bit of a character and had the nick name of Swamp Turkey which I´m sure he got from his work mates prior to the smelter job as life at the smelter was far from swamp land Rest in peace Kind regards Alan Baird
