John NEVIN Obituary

Passed away peacefully in the arms of his granddaughter, Cass, at home on Thursday, November 27, 2025, aged 88 years. Beloved husband of the late Jan. Dearly loved father Jane and Mark, and father-in-law of Mike and Lisa. Much loved granddad of Cass, Daisy, Cam and Angus. Best friend of Bryce. Messages to the family of John Nevin, c/- PO Box 26051, North Avon, Christchurch 8148. In lieu of flowers, donations to St John would be appreciated and may be made online via their website. A Requiem Mass for John will be celebrated at St Bede's College Chapel, Main North Road, on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at 11.00am, followed by burial in Yaldhurst Cemetery.

To John's Family. Deepest sympathy in the loss of a fine gentleman. Have known him at Templeton Transport and at United Fisheries. Had some great experiences trying to deal with the Koreans when at the Lancaster Hotel. He lived a great life and will be missed
