John was a respected resident of Charles Upham Ryman Village. I knew John from his arrival in the village til I left the staff of CURV in Oct 2022. I was sad to find out he had passed. He had an indomitable spirit, a dry sense of humor and obvious intellect. He would say to me as he passed me, call out to me from across the foyer or slyly tell me when he came into the cafe, *Give them Hell, Hellen.*

Hi Tim and Ed
I have just learned that John has died.
I have very fond memories of John giving John Atkins and myself heaps of help and advice in San Fransisco when we were getting started with Atkins Ranch.
I visited him at Charles Upham just before COVID and spent an afternoon with him talking all about Atkins Ranch.
He gave us the idea and an immense amount of help to get it to work. I have a great respect for him and will miss his quirky phone calls. He was a great guy and friend and I will always remember him with a smile.
Kind regards Phil Guscott

Sincere condolences to You all. I met John when he was doing his tomatoes and he loved doing them. It was lovely to meet up with Lyndon after all these years. Yolande Whitford - Charles Upham.
