John MEIKLE Obituary

Sadly passed away peacefully at Burwood Hospital on April 2, 2024, surrounded by his family after a courageous battle, aged 79 years. Dearly loved wife of Sue, much loved father and father-in-law of Richard and Michelle, Joanne and Locky, Andrew and Melanie, and Leanne. Adored and loved grandad of all his grand and great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers donations to Multiple Sclerosis & Parkinson's Canterbury would be appreciated and can be made online at mspd.infoodle.com/f/DonationForm Messages may be addressed to the family of the late John Meikle C/- 19 London Street, Christchurch 8013. A Memorial service to celebrate John's life will be held in the John Rhind Chapel, entry from London and Whitmore Streets, Richmond, on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at 1.00pm.

So very very sad to hear about the passing of Uncle John. I so very much wish I knew at the time. Uncle John, you were one of Mum's (Diane) favourite brothers and she missed you fiercely as did we all. Both Michael (passed away 3 years ago), Trisha and myself (your nephew & nieces) loved catching up with you even if it was to say goodbye to Mum when laying her to rest with Dad.

I still have loads of memories visiting when we were kids.

You are going to be so very missed.
