McKENZIE, John Michael:
11.6.1929 – 8.4.2015Passed peacefully in his 86th year, with his wife Rowena and children at his side. Emigrated in 1946 from Boystown, Engadine, New South Wales to Southland, Kaiapoi, and later Christchurch. Former trade unionist, county councillor, Chairman of the Heathcote County Council, and later shop owner. John leaves behind his wife Rowena of 39 years and their children Andrew and Heather, together with his eldest son Michael, daughters Marianne and Juliana, and their families. Loved grandfather of Emily, Campbell and Amelia; Lea and Paul; and Lucy and Angela. Messages may be addressed to the family of John McKenzie, c/- 19 London Street, Christchurch 8013. A Celebration of John's life will be held at the Canterbury Crematorium Chapel, corner of Keighleys Road and Linwood Ave, Linwood, Tomorrow (Thursday), at 11.00am
