John George (Jock):
On June 23, 2022, peacefully with family, at Ashburton. In his 90th year. Dearly loved husband of June for 57 years. Loved father and father-in-law of Alison and Benny, Robert and Joanna, and Stuart and Sharyn. Special Grandad of George, Emily, and William; Samuel, and Ethan. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Margaret and Dennis, the late Ella and Gordon, the late Elspeth, and Kit, the late James, and Jean and their extended families (all of Scotland). A service to celebrate Jock's life will be held at Our Chapel, cnr East & Cox Streets, Ashburton on Monday, June 27, commencing at 2.00pm, followed by private cremation at the Ashburton Crematorium.

We were very sad to hear of Jock's death. He was special to our family. A dear friend of David for 67 years, the best man at his wedding to Fay and he and his family were part of our lives as children growing up. He was a gentle and kind man, softly spoken, with a great sense of humour and a wonderful laugh. He was loyal to his friends and loved his family in Scotland and in New Zealand. Our deepest sympathy to June, Alison, Robert and Stuart and their families and to Jock's family in Scotland. We remember Jock with love.
