John LAURIE Obituary
On Tuesday, April 30, 2024, passed away peacefully at Rose Court, Christchurch, in his 93rd year. John was the beloved best friend, soulmate and husband of Zeta; dearly loved father and father-in-law of Nicola, Julia and Mike; loved brother of Dave; much loved grandad of Jonny and Maryke, Peter and Monica; Michael, Bob and Emily, Rebecca and Luke, Mark and Becky, and great-grandad of Evie, and Luca. With grateful thanks to the management and staff of Rose Court for their compassionate care of John; and special thanks to the team at Bell, Lamb and Trotter for their care and support. Messages to the Laurie family, C/- PO Box 10345, Christchurch 8145. A family memorial gathering to honour and celebrate John's life was held on Sunday, May 5, 2024.

Sending my sincere condolences to dear Zeta and family at the passing of John. I have fond memories of Mr Laurie as my Maths Lecturer at Teacher´s College. Then meeting him again when I taught at Middleton Grange with Zeta. Remembered with much respect. I am sorry I only saw John´s death notice tonight. Thinking of you all at this sad time.
