On May 30, 2025, after a battle with Dementia, now finally at peace, aged 75 years. Loved husband of Annette, and loved father and father-in-law of Vanessa and Philip, and Nicola. Dearly loved Pop of Caleb, Charlotte; and Ben. Dearly loved son of the late Noeline and Bert. Loved brother of Alec, Andrea, and Mary. Special thanks to the staff at Heretaunga Rest Home for their loving care of John over a number of years. In lieu of flowers donations to Dementia NZ would be appreciated and may be left at https://dementia.nz/#donate A celebration of John's life will be held in Kingswood, corner King and Cairo Streets, Upper Upper, on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at 10.30am, thereafter private cremation at Akatarawa.
