Dear Jen, David, Ruth and family, it was wonderful to be able to join you from so afar to be with you at Johns funeral. I loved hearing about his life and how special he was to you all and so many other people. Many memories of John spending time in Blighty were sparked by the slides and us spending time in Christchurch. All our love are with you, Mark, Melissa & Henri.

John. You were the true definition of a gentleman. I truely loved my time working with you in comms and you always looked after me. I loved hearing all your stories and our chats and laughter. And being told where to buy the best pork pies and my many instructions on the uses of `boveril“ and how wonderful it was.
When you spoke about your family the love for them came out in your words. To your family I am truely sorry for your loss of a great man, husband, father and grandfather. Much love to you all.
