John Patrick (Jack):
On Monday, October 24, 2016, peacefully at home after a long illness, aged 76 years. Dearly loved husband and best friend of Barbara, much loved brother and brother-in-law of Evelyn and Alex Glennie, Dianne and Ewen Milne, Michael (deceased) and Helen, Margaret and Grant Hutchings, Gerald and Marilyn, Brendan (Henry); much loved brother-in-law of Sister Gemma (Noeline) (deceased), Frances Townsend, Sister Jane (Edna), David and Sue Finlay, John and Sheen Finlay, Allan and Denise Finlay, Mary Finlay and Tony House, Pat and Anthea Finlay, Kathryn Finlay and Tom Healey, Min Sarginson and Richard Lyth, and the late Euan Sarginson, and a much loved uncle and great-uncle of his nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Dr Tony Rahman and to the staff of Nurse Maude for their care of John. Messages may be addressed to the Family of the late John Ford, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of John to the Nurse Maude Association would be appreciated and may be left at his Service. Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St Gregory's Catholic Church, Cotswold Avenue, Bishopdale, Tomorrow (Friday), at 11.00am, with private cremation thereafter.
