John ELLIOT Obituary

Sorry to hear of the passing of John....I worked at the Halswell Tavern where I met and became a friend of John's while he was here in Christchurch.... My was a lovely man whom I had many a great chat with...I tried reaching out to John via messenger several times and had wondered about his health.
Be is now obviously at peace with his wife and wee dog who he loved dearly...Warm thought to all his family.... Lisa I remember meeting you

Thanks for being a loyal lifelong friend since our early teens with special memories of you being a talented lead guitarist and vocalist in the rock band we were in together for several years.
"Those were the best years of my life."
Visits to Christchurch just won´t be the same now without you being there to share beers, and your quick out-in-left-field wit and so many great memories at your Halswell pub.

My friend at Sydenham school...South Intermediate...Chch Tech college..and the Post Office...not to mention the University of life....best man at my wedding..pall bearer at my fathers funeral....always in the mix of my life....special man...goodbye...RIP

Dearly loved son of the late Bev and Bill Elliot. Father of Lisa, Martyn and Suzanne - Uncle to many. Loving brother to Vicky (sleeping), Annette and Debbie. Brother-in-law of Roger (sleeping), John and Steven. Uncle to Jack, Isaac, Eli, Chad (sleeping), Sarah, Rebecca and James. Cherished by the staff at his "home" in Bundaberg Australia for his great sense of humour and big heart. Treasured by many friends and old mates in NZ. You'll be missed but always remembered.
