John DOWN Obituary

Aged 94 years. On Thursday, January 22, 2026, John passed away peacefully at Christchurch Hospital with his daughter by his side. Beloved husband of the late Maureen, loved partner and companion of Patsy, and the late Helen. Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Kathryn and Warren, and Mathew (deceased) and Stephanie. Cherished 'Poppie' and 'Puppa' to his grandchildren Nicholas, Gary, Sarah, Michael, Ethan, Rachael, and Lawrence, and their families. The funeral service celebrating John's life will be held at Selwyn Street Methodist Church, corner Selwyn Street and Somerset Crescent, Addington, Tomorrow (Thursday), at 1.00pm.
